
Kevin Retz
Dr. Kevin Retz has over 35 years of experience in the composites industry. He started out as a lab technician in the composites lab at the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR). He has worked for Raytheon Aircraft as the Fuselage Shells Lead for the Premier 1 Jet and as the manager for the composite shop. Kevin spent 11 years at Boeing part of it as the fuselage configuration lead for the Boeing 787. He also was the coleader for the EME team and Crash Worthiness team during initial Certification Proposal acceptance of the 787. Kevin spent 5 years with the Boeing Advance Concepts team before joining GE Aviation. While at GE he led the engineering team developing the designs and processes for several Ceramic Matric Composite engine parts. He also supported the GE engineering and supply chain teams as a technical expert on composites design, fabrication, and certification.
Kevin spent 3 years working with NAWAH to advance the technology and applications for the use of Vertically Aligned Carbon Nano Tubes in industrial applications before becoming the Business Manager for NAWA America in June 2024 responsible for establishing North America operations. Dr. Retz has over 20 patents.
